Who we are
Shree Ajay Seva is a religious and social organisation in Dhampur, Bijnor district, that stands in service of Shiv devotees every Maha Shivratri. The name is a tribute — our team calls it "Tribute to a grand soul."
A kanwariya walks for days carrying Ganga water. On the road they need three things — a place to sit, hot food, and the assurance that someone on the way is their own. We provide all three, free of charge.

Every year at Maha Shivratri, we run a free camp at Ramleela Maidan, near Kaliya Wala Mandir, Dhampur for Shiv devotees walking the Kanwad Yatra.
Overnight rest and bedding, cooked food and prasad, bhajan and a deity jhanki, lighting, security and mobile charging through the night — and in 2024, a free medical camp for a nearby village. Nothing is charged, and no one is turned away.
Run entirely by volunteers. 2026 was our 5th annual camp.

2022
The foundation yearEvery large seva begins as a small resolve.
In the beginning there was no big stage and no elaborate setup — just one thought: something should be done for the devotees walking through Dhampur with Ganga water at Maha Shivratri. Meetings happened, a plan formed, hands kept joining — and the first camp stood, in Shri Ajay's name.
The fifth camp stands on that first resolve — the same spirit, just a little more preparation and a few more hands every year.
What does a tired kanwariya need?
Just three things. All three are free here.
Rest camp
Beds and blankets in tents, so a pilgrim can sleep a few hours.
Food & prasad
Hot food cooked at the camp itself, and prasad distribution.
Bhajan evening
Bhajan-kirtan on stage and darshan of the deity jhanki.
Night-long & managed
The whole camp stays lit and managed all night — security, mobile charging stations, and volunteers on duty.
Welcome gate
A decorated gate where every kanwariya is welcomed.
Free medical care
Free health check-ups and medicines — the 2024 camp in village Mohra screened 163 people.
